since It looks like it will be a couple weeks till I'll be able to put my boat in the water. I plan on reconditioning all my reels. I use 4lb p-line Green, and was curious what everyone else uses.

Isn't 10lb a little heavy for crappie? Currious. My perception is more action on lighter line.

10 # power pro in braid, could be 20# in braid and still be light enough for crappie on Truman...... just order a new 300 yd spool from Cabela's and it came yesterday but had to send it back, then sent me 40# in 10# dia...... I don't want to tow the boat with it...........:D
WILL RODGERS NEVER MET ME..........
Got ya. How does braid hold up casting or with a hook and minnow. would have problems when I used it to bass fish with it twisting.

I use 16# Fireline for casting jigs, road runners etc. If you get snagged you can pull the bait free by hand(be sure to wear a glove, Fireline will cut you). With live bait I'll use either 6,8,or 10# Vanish depending on water clarity.

Mr. Crappie 6lb. high vis. line!! Its cheap enough and its as strong as any mono that I've seen. We flip docks and jig all kinds of junk and it still remains the strongest I've used. Braid might work for some folks but not for me. Most of the fish I catch I don't have enough line out to warrent using high priced line. Its all about what you feel confident in.

Tried Braid And Didn't Care Too Much For It. I'm Just Really Use To Stren Hi Vis Gold 8 Lb Test.. Braid Just Sticks Too Much To The Rod Tip For Me . I''m Vertical Jigging And The Extra Amount That Sticks To The Tip Just Give The Fish 2-3 Inches More Line. Like The Strength Of Braid But That's It...
