15lb power pro 4lb diameter is all I use but I mostly vertical jig. I think it would have the same wind resistance as 4 lb mono.

Braid line is amazing so so so sensitive!! I only use mono for casting floats since the braid tangles easy. Also the braid holds a little water and will freeze on the guides but this is minor considering how many more lite bites you feel!!

Not really- only when I want it to go slow when I control it by my presentation, but I really don't use less than 1/16 oz typically anyway. I have used a pinch on weight as well if I want to drop it faster and the lure is pre-dressed (Hair jig or what-not).

All we use is Suffix Braid 10# 2#dia. I use it for casting also for what little casting we do. The only thing I have found wrong with it is On a spinning real in windy conditions it wants to wrap around the rod. That's why we mainly use bait casting reals & 99% of our fishing is vertical.
I have found that the power pro is a little more abrasive which would be harder on the eyelets. Pole Bender use's PW but a certain type which he say's it not that abrasive. Like what everybody else say's what ever you like is the best line for you.

Monty you might want to keep it for a way to tow someone in Or if you get stuck in the shallow water you can get pulled out with it

Vince, I like the 4lb p-line in clear.

Oh it will ruff them up a little but you almost have to fish with it every day for 2 or 3 years. My problem with braid is that I forget I have it on and I try to wrap it around my hand to break it off.

Braid for 99% or my verticle fishing either yellow fire line or green Power pro both in 10 pound 4 dia. but with that said if I'm fishing a tree that has ALOT of snags and LOADED with fish I use 4 pound yellow Mr Crappie that way I can break it easy with out screwing up my tree. When I cast I like 4 pound stren mono in fluorescent because the sun lights it up.
If you give braid an honest chance you will not go back. There is WAY more + than -

One of the best discoveries of my life was when I tried out braided line. It is super sensitive to the litest bite and yet stronger than any line needs to be. I rarely lose a jig or hook. This saves me alot of time not re-tying. When snagged, I wrap the line around my wallet to keep from being sliced. That seems to be the only thing that I always have handy and a it doesn't harm the line.
My other rod is strung with 14# trilene, which also deals well with truman-smithville timber
