    Default How far???

Just curious how far everyone regularly trailers their boats to get to their favorite fishing waters per trip. Just the regular daily (I wish) or weekly trips. It's 54 miles one way to Mozingo where I try to get to once or twice a week.

I am 15 minutes or so to Bucksaw on Truman which is my favorite ramp. But I can be to Sparrow Foot in less than 5 minutes or to the Deepwater ramp in about 7 or 8 minutes.

We used to mostly fish Stockton and it is about 40 miles one way for us. This year we have mainly fished Truman and it is about 80 miles one way from my house. Only good thing about those 80 miles is it's pretty much a straight shot up Hwy 13 so it's not a hard drive.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, rather to skid in sideways, body used up and totally worn out screaming 'WOO~HOO what a ride!'

112 miles from my drive way to Bucksaw ramp. Stockton is 60 miles Table Rock 30 to Cape Fair. It's about 1 hr & 30 min to Truman. Always worth the drive.

It would be great to be so close to a variety of quality crappie spots! Maybe in my retirement! Until then Mozingo will be my main destination; it's been good to me though. Maybe one of these days the wife and I can venture south to your territory!

Come on down. Always someone out on Truman to help you out. Have been looking at a place even closer to Bucksaw area. May be why wife is so hesitant on it. Only about 6 miles from Bucksaw across a gravel road.

126 to Bucksaw. About 75 to LOZ and Mark Twain. It seems like that distance gets shorter every time I drive it.

    Default Truman Lake

10 miles to Windsor Crossing,24 miles to bucksaw,25 miles to sparrowfoot, and 39 miles to berry bend... sure would like to have $5 for every trip I have made to berrybend over 25 years.... but every trip was worth a lot more than $5..... I think priceless would be the word for it......:D

I'm about an hour from most of Truman. Warrensburg in in a good central location
In our government-controlled schools we are taught that Lincoln was our greatest president because his war ended slavery and saved the Union. As usual, the other side of the story – the side that reflects poorly on the government – somehow gets lost. – Richard J. Maybury, The Abe Lincoln Hoax
