    Default JJ's on Truman

Our day started with gray skies and little to no wind launched at Bucksaw and ran up the Grand. Stopped a couple of spots on the way up without much luck stopped and talked to WantinCrappie and his party :D and they agreed that the bite was slow. Started working our way back toward Bucksaw and the wind picked up and shifted to the North - Temperature dropped but we actually started catching a few good ones and a LOT of shorts!! Then the mist settled in and the bite got even better - we kept a limit. Blk/Pink worked the best for us 10fow. We saw 2 deer running for their lives 5 that didn't make it and 2 bald eagles. All in all it was a good day to be out. The biggest one (on the left) was 1 lb 10 1/2 ou and the other 1 lb 3 ou.

Nice fish. Way to stay after them. All the Springfield people were on Truman and I was in Springfield. Weather was much nicer there than it was up here from the sounds of it.

Nice fish. Your wife is a natural. Nice to see a couple that enjoys fishing as much as you two do. That's the definition of quality time!

Yes she is. Sue has definitely has the touch.:D I was out fishing her today & then she wound up kicking my butt. We always have a good time when we get to fish. She is a real die hard to fish in this weather today.

Glad you guys and gals ended up having a good day. It was good seeing you and chatting with ya. Man, what a weather change it was from Truman to Springfield.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, rather to skid in sideways, body used up and totally worn out screaming 'WOO~HOO what a ride!'
