    Default 3.9 lb. crappie

I think it is entirely possible though, you just dont hear about them. The 2.4 I'm sure is real. I've caught 2 that went 1.75 so a 2 lb is very realistic. Mofishmgr says they have seen some 2 and 3 lb fish in their studies. Bass Pro at Columbia has a 4.? lb in their tank that came from a nearby farm pond. I'm skeptical of any crappie that's 3.0 or better that did'nt come from Mississippi. I'm not saying it's not true but if it is, it should be mounted and displayed 'cause that is definately a once in a lifetime fish. Congrats to the man that did it.

He is a neighbor of some of my friends in Smithville. I didn’t get to see it but my friends did. They said he was taking the GIANT fish all over the neighborhood showing it to people.
Hell I’d still be working my way around - most likely be some place in south KC by now!!! I’ll see if I can get a pick after it’s mounted.
