Does anybody know how far this is by water? Also was checking it out on Google Earth and it looks like when the water is low you may not be able to get through 1 spot on the river. It is about halfway between the 2 spots. We like to put in at Pike's Camp and take the river up to St. Thomas and then fish our way back down. Caught a sauger a couple of weeks ago doing this.
I don't know how many miles it is but we put in at St Elizabeth once at about 7:00 AM and fished our way down to St Thomas and got there at about 4:00 PM.
Thats my neck of the woods but i never fish the river........sorry.

We really like that river. But it is a 1 1/2 hour drive for us. Highway 50 ramp is a little closer but the boat traffic is crazy there.
perch,
i'm from down there, from st. thomas to mouth of the tavern (st elizabeth access) is right at 14 miles. if you dont have a jet it gets real hairy. if you have a prop, and like you prop dont even try it. there are two places you need to watch, one is at the mouth of sugar creek, water is about 1 foot,
and a little below st.e access. hope this helps
probably bout 10 miles + or - a few. It is VERY low right now, ok for flat bottom boat prefferbly jet. It will be busy this weekend, but if you dont know the channel you can easily dry-dock on gravel.
be alot of pleasure boaters out on the osage labor day weekend, especially near the famous "sand bar" at the osage and Missouri river confluence
Thanks. I thought the mileage was about 12-14 miles. We have a jet and a jon boat. 1 time a long time ago we put in at Tuscumbia and went up to the dam and fished our way back down. We had a prop with low water. that was an interesting trip. There was 1 place that was really bad. I hat those stupid dikes or whatever they put in the river. Those places are the worst.
