Thread: Upper Tebo Sunday Afternoon 7/5

Wanted to keep a limit today for fry with neighbor. On the water around 11:30, finally caught #15 at 5:30. From Windsor to the island, 7-12' in 10-16' trees, hedges and cedars but more cedars. All jigs, no minnows, white/blue, chart/white. Caught most dead sticking from 10-30 seconds. From 10-12 1/2" fish, decent but nothing astounding. Thought it wasn't a very easy bite but saw some water that hadn't been on in awhile and had the chance to be out on a nice day, sure could have been worse. Reports I see says folks catching lots of short fish, I really didn't, maybe 20 total.

Wife And I Went To Clinton This Evening To Eat And At 4 Pm..... We Could See Traffic Backed Up Between The Two Red Lights On 13 Hwy... Had To Have Been A Mess, We Stayed On The Church Road In And Out........ Quick...... Glad You Nailed'em......

Glad to hear you had a good day. We fished Windsor crossing from 7;30 till 1 ;30 and put 7 nice ones in the box. Probably only caught 20 in all. We caught our on the drop from the timmber to the channel . Most 8 to 10 ft. It was still nice to be on the water.

went with a buddy and started at Bucksaw yesterday morning. after a while we pulled and went to Windsor crossing. Bucksaw water was pretty dirty, but we did pick up 4 real nice ones. i decided to try something a bit different, i was using a 4.5inch paddle tail worm as a jig. picked up three 12-13 inchers in the first spot. moved to w/x and fished the clearer water and ended up with 14 keepers between the two of us. no real consistant pattern caught fish anywhere from 6' to 20' of water.

OSS, i know, i know... you would think a professional photographer would take pics of their catch... i'm very guilty of not doing that very often. sorry.

Nailed em would be an overstatement, more like peck here and peck there. Not complaining but 15 keepers in 6 hours isn't a whole lot per hour and makes for some times in between you wonder if you are missing something. This lake can spoil you at times. Something I did today been wanting to try, mashed the barb down to cause less damage to released fish, don't think it cost more than a few short fish that may have been lost.

Sounds like a nice day on the water. I'm starting to really like Tebo again. My days are tied up till Thur. I may just have to hit it then.
