Did anyone see the sign at the ramp at Engineers Point about life vest and trolling? I asked one Officer about if Sunday morning and he said you didn't have to have it on if your boat was over 16' and you were trolling with your trolling motor not your gas motor. I asked another Officer when we got back to the ramp and he said if you had your rods out trolling with your gas motor in a boat over 16' you did not have to have on a life jacket so I guess it just depend on the officer. Oh the one I ask Sunday morning was about like the park ranger that keep harassing us at the camp ground.
I'm TIRED of being harassed!!! :D:D
At least we gave him something to do Friday night.

we were checked by park rangers saturday. we were trolling with the outboard in my 16 ft. boat, not wearing life jackets. they approached us and asked if we knew about the new life vest rule. i replied that we did, and my boat was 16 ft. he did not believe me, and asked to see the registration card to prove that it was a 16 ft. boat. when he saw that, he said we were legal. they were fairly nice though, i guess just doing their job.
Ditto on the harassment. I guess I'm just spoilt up here to other things
besides nice, padded floating docks at the boat ramps...
Hardly EVER get checked for anything up here.
Dudes were definitely on a power trip. As I heard someone say,
