UPDATE - CHANGE OF PLANS - BASED UPON THE COMMENTS BELOW WE ARE NOW GOING TO HEAD TO SARDIS OR ENID.... Now I need your help figuring out which one....
I know the first response to my thread title line - ""On the Water, Mark" Now that we have that out of the way - As you can see I read alot but rarely post. My wife and I are planning a one or two day road trip to Grenada Lake and we have never seen this lake. WHY - you ask - because everyone here talks about the beauty of the lake and the quality of the ffish caught there. I live in Columbus, MS and have no intentions of homesteading on someone elses "honey hole" but any help as to where we should put in and some general idea of where we might have some luck would be greatly appreciated by anyone. We do not have a clue as to a good ramp area either. Not sure at this point if we are going to spend the night but we are packing with the intent to stay. I do have a hand held GPS unit that I use when I hunt that if anyone wanted to email me coordinates of a good place to try that would also be great. My boat only has a 40hp motor so please do not run me from one end to the other or I will get lost, still might anyway. Well anyway, if anyone can provide suggestions we would really appreciate it. If you have coordinates that you want to email and not post here my email address is - mark.dillon@ecolab.com
We are hoping to head that way on June 15 and 16 if the Lord is Willing and I can get off work.
Thanks in advance to everyone for your help.

Beauty of the lake? I've always thought Grenada was about the ugliest body of water on the planet. Pretty much any other body will put it to shame.
Yeah, tell us what you're planning on doing and we'll tell ya what we know.......won't be much, in my case.

Sorry Guys - We will be Crappie fishing with jigs or minnows. We have fished using minnows for 5 years and just this year I decided to start learning how to Jig fish. Still a novice with the jigs. I have rigged my Lowe boat with Driftmaster units on the front and back so we can Spider also with no more than 8 poles (that all the poles we have right now). I am open for suggestions but we do enjoy watching that slip cork disappear in a flash so I think our first choice would be minnow fishing in a spider or traditional single pole method.

Well, on Grenada, you're limited to 3 poles each with no more than 2 hooks, so unless you're fishing 3 in the boat, you're gonna have to leave a couple of holders empty.
Also, if you're 16' or under, you have to have have a life jacket on at all times while on the water. Over 16' and you have to have it on while the big motor is on.
I'll send you a couple of co-ordinates if I can remember to pull them off the GPS.
