    Default Sardis Gathering

What time will the event take place? Will it be at lower lake campground? On sat. My wife will make a dessert. Hopefully fish will be in summer mode.(cranks).

Don't know about time or place but, the fish will not be in summer mode. You'll be able to catch a few trollin', but most of the fish are still gonna be in the wood, in my opinion.

cranked on memorial day and caught a few NICE fish. Half keepers and half throwbacks. Need a few warmer days before they will be in full swing. water is hovering around 72-75 degrees. Needs to get near 78-82. Purple Haze Bandit 300 fished about 14 feet deep was best bait. Hope this helps.

Thanks. I'll probably try the pontoon and pull cranks.

I found fish on Sardis Tuesday pulling cranks. But, you have to be at the Crapporee before I'll tell ya where!:D

Had almost forgotten how fun it is to have double and triple fish on, drive the boat, watch the speed, stay in the right depth, let out lines, measure fish, eat a sammich, smoke a cigarette, and drink a coke all at the same time!!!

    See ya at the Crapporee!!!

Purple Haze at 14 FOW and Fire Tiger at 12 FOW worked best for me about 10 days ago. Caught a few big crappie and a bunch of short ones on the river channel flats. From my experience on Memorial Day weekend most of the fish are still on the brushpiles around the spawning areas. Hope they'll get in their summer pattern soon. I'm going to pull some cranks this weekend...also spider rig some brushpiles...will send a report.

I can't come to gathering until Sunday. Where can I find everyone on Sunday?
