Thread: St Jude Bass Tournament

I know this is crappie site and I'm not a bass fisherman,but just wondering if anyone has heard who won the St jude bass Tournament on Sardis Sunday?

Winners were from Oakland, MS. A little over 13 lb. won. They only paid 25 places this year (250 boats) and about 4 3/4 lb. got a check. Sardis definitely had the funk on Sunday.

I used to fish that thing. That was 8-12 years ago. 350 boats every time we fished and if you didnt get your money in quick you would get turned down. Anyway 6th place was the best we ever did and you better have had 20plus to win. But that was when Sardis whas in its hayday for bass fishin. I remember just going to Sardis to bass fish cause you could catch plenty of slot fish but it all petered out BAD. Now I could care less about a bass tournament. Bass are good to eat. I would fillet a cooler full of em right now!

I talked to a couple them Sunday and they were really nice folks. One said there were 274 teams entered. I know I saw a lot of boats we normally don't see a lot of like Bullets and BassCats with 250xs' hanging off the back. There were also a lot Rangers and Skeeters like normal.

Quit when it went to buddy tourney, I will never trust a fisherman whem money is involved. draw tourneys are more honest or should be. Also buddy lets more "teams" work together.
