Yep, gonna bite the bullet, burn the fuel, and haul it up to Bear Creek
tomorrow. Trying to talk my Dad into going, if I can get him to get off
his horse long enoughProbably put in at Eastport public ramp,
gonna try to catch a few and cook some up on a gravel bar 'bout lunch
if he goes. Anybody up that way, look us up. Jeff

Jeff, how did it go at Bear Creek?

hope you had better luck than we did, Jeff. A 6" rain brought our water up 4 feet on Bee, but we went anyway. Fishes scattered hither to yon. Wind !!!!!!!!! We had fun, tho. Beat sitting here watching the Duke shoot'em ups.
Pretty rough conditions up here too guys. Dad and Allison went with me,
so we didn't get on the water till after 8.
It started off with about a 10 mph
wind, and kept building and building until it was howling 20+ by 10 o'clock.
Big whitecap rollers, getting sprayed just trolling. And to cap it off, it came
a shower and rained on us.
But, managed to catch 5 good'uns during all
that, and by about 11 the sun popped out and dryed us off, and the wind
even died down a bit.
Found a good gravel bar, cleaned 'em and cooked 'em, ate 'em all up :D
Let Allison get a little boat-operating practice in, she drove the last couple
of miles back to the ramp. I took a few pictures, but it'll take me a day or
two to get them posted - Jeff

If I were going to try and fish in white cap rollers then you have the boat I would want to be in.

Jeff that is the only draw back on my boat also. The spray from the high winds and big waves. But like you, The ride takes care of that part.
Glad you caught enough for a shore lunch.
