Thread: Lakeview tomorrow..

thinking of trolling mudlake unless I hear differently. Anyone been last few days? Any thoughts, reports, etc? I'll report back on how I do.

I hit Mud Lake last Friday. I had better luck up in the trees on the right hand side of the lake (as facing from Lakeview) than I did in the open water. Didn't catch alot, but they were all females with eggs and all in the trees. I was spider riggin', but very carefully due to all the weeds and hang ups.

Caught 2 really nice Crappie, but kept smelling bream beds so switch to cricket and caught 14 really nice Bluegill. Those two crappie were really shallow on the main lake right side of lake near the runout. Side note, bream must only a week or so away from stacking up and crappie maybe in the shallows there, but too much moss and sticks and too deep back in the brush. I would fish around the trees, I still believe the crappie are shallow on the main lake.

anyone catching anything at lakeview? want to take my daughter tomorrow and catch something .. bream or crappie if they are biting.

I'm gonna try it tomorrow for a little while until the wind blows me off the water.

Hey Stan, has it gotten even worse? I was there 2 weeks ago tomorrow and had my truck a good 20 feet into the water it seemed. I got on the bow of Mr. Jim's boat and he drove me right up to my door. It was pretty funny.

What a guy that Mr Jim is. Offers a valet service to crappie.com members and everything.

I don't think its any worse its just been a long time since Ive seen my truck with a foot of water under the doors when I'm trying to launch lol.

Well I had water over my running boards today. I found a ton of fish out on the main lake. Problem was, they were only 6 inches long. It's been a long time since I caught babies like that at lakeview.I did manage to catch a few bigger ones. Just not enough for me to bring home and clean. All of the ones I found today were deeeeeeeep.
