    Default WATER--Old and New

The back water had finally got down to where I could see a couple of my lakes. Was feeling pretty good. Future looking brighter. Then the rains started. We've had 6 inches and it's still falling. The Butla is full. Gates will have to be opened. We'll get even more water. It'll be July before we can fish our lakes now.

I might go out and see the water go over tomorrow at butla. Its a sad situation here in north miss. Spent about 30 hours putting stuff out at butla this summer and cant even fish it.

I was hoping to take my dad to Butla Saturday (coming in from GA) but with all this water, think we'll just hit Memphis Barbeque Fest instead. One way or the other, we're gonna eat good!

What will the spillway fishing be like when they open the gates?

Hang in there, John. Last year - no water. This year - too much water. The best is yet to come.......hopefully this fall.
