Thread: Arkabutla

How muddy is Arkabutla. How would it look for Saturday. Thinking bout coming down but did not want to if it was going to look like classic arkabutla(chocolate milk)

Haven't been there this year but willing to bet with all the rains that it looks like a muddy mess.

Butla is 236 on the gauge. Looks like a small ocean, only 2 ft from the emergency spillway. I have not been down in quite a while, because of all the water. I am guessing it looks like a good cup of coffee with a small amount of cream poured in it.

along I-55 going across coldwater river, is very very muddy. Noticed it today. Also very high.

it will be awhile before it's ready.

Wont be worth the trip until it gets down to at least 228.

Try back around august. They have only one gate open on the spillway at 6ft. And they predicting more rain for tomorrow night.

Spillway is closed right now...Dont know what for, but the lake wont rise as fast as it will when it is at 225 because there is more area for the water to go to. Why isn't the spillway on right now? Yazoo is around normal level on the gauge today.

Have'nt been on the lake lately but the main lake was really clear before the last rain. Well I say clear, it was clear for the Butla.

Terrible. Unless you know something I don't, I wouldn't waste my time going to Butla right now
