Thread: Calling all North MS crappie fishermen!!!!!

Over the past several of months there has been numerous threads started showing interest in starting a crappie club in North MS. Well here is your chance to get the largest crappie club in the country in your area. The Magnolia Crappie Club is coming to Enid Lake next Saturday May 17, 2008. The club hasn't fished the lake in several years. I have been very involved in getting Enid added to our schedule. I have picked up sponsorships and now I need help from fishermen in the area. The price for a 2 person team to join the club and fish the tournament is less then what you pay to fish one of the larger tournaments. To join each person must pay $50 to cover the joining fee and insurance. The cost of the tournament is $80 a boat. The payout is 100%. Last tournament we had 37 boats, first place paid $625 we paid down to 15th ($70). The more boats the higher the payout. See MCC website for more details.

Ran in to a couple of your members Sunday at the boat ramp and they GRILLED me on where I caught my fish. Said yall had a tournament in a couple of weeks and I put them on the fish. I am glad to see Enid on your schedule and will talk with my partner and see if we can get in.

There was a crappie club in N Miss. called Trollmates. It broke up this year because of a lack of membership. I've considered Magnolia, but all of their fishing is way south of here. If there were enough people interested, I'm sure we could get Trollmates fired up again. Let me know.

If enough people got interested in MCC we would add more North MS lakes to the schedule.

I know of about 10 boats of ex-trollmaters that would be all over that. Maybe if you had a northern division. You could have a north/south clash somewhere in the fall.

The possibilities are endless TLow. If you know of any fishermen that would be interested in the tournament please pass the info along. It was a difficult task for me to get Enid back on the schedule due to low participation from sponsors and fishermen in years past. If we could pick up some new members in the area the sponsorships would come I believe. We are a nonprofit organization but it cost money to run a large club like ours. We are very involved in community service as well. If we could pull a few new teams it would make my argument an easier fight next year when the schedule is made. I would like to see us at Sardis, Arkabutla, and some of the other Northern lakes that crappie swim in.

i would be in if they did north ms lakes..can't make all the ones south. I would join trollmates also. I can't join mcc w/ no guarantee of north ms lakes on schedule next year. Let me know I will join something up this way. thanks
