    Default 24 this morning

Got to the lake about 6:30 and left at 10:30 with 24, not a lot of big ones, largest was 15", about 8 over 12". Started in 10-11 FOW where we had caught a lot last time out and nothing but 2 6" fish and it being a bluebird day I sure felt like we should go deeper but went the other way and started to pick up some fish, best depth was 6-8 FOW. Bite was light and at first they wanted a horsehead jig but about 8:30 that was over and a pink body plain jig head seemed best. They never did get back on the electric chicken. Water temp had dropped to 71 degrees and we caught 9 males with their spawning colors on, didn't expect that. About 10 the wind picked up quite a bit and for us at least the bite seemed over so we came home. Wayne with 4 biggest. Back in the morning.

And 41 this morning. Got there at 6:30 and left at 12. Biggest was 15" and 4-5 at 14". not slabs but nice fish. Started where we left off yesterday, north wind,6-8 FOW, and caught quite a few and tomato seed was by far the best color. Wind switched to the east and it became a struggle to catch any. Move a little deeper with very little luck, wind getting pretty strong so we moved to a 100 yd section of Roberts Lake that was somewhat out of the wind and picked up a good many nice fish quickly, in fact I had 3 fish on at the same time once. Took about 30-45 mins to fish that section and we fished back thru it with nothing buy maybe 5 throwbacks. 11-13 FOW and no hot color, hit anything. Only 3 males in spawn colors today. Wind had switched from the south pretty hard so we came home, about all my back can take. Wind very strong tomorrow and I need the rest anyway.
