    Default Enid Early Tomorrow.

Last week on Enid we caught a few nice fish while being blown off the lake. Now that the wind has subsided, we are going to try again tomorrow morning. I would appreciate any suggestions. Will be launching at Persimmon Hill Ramp.

I put in at Persissom Hill this past Friday, the wind was so bad Sat. I had to stay close to the bank just to manuver my 15 ft boat around the coves.
Late Sat. I caught 4 keepers at the end of the first cove to the right as you launch at P.H. that's the only thing I caught all weekend. Today was a beautiful day on the lake I just couldn't find them

I was fishing in 4ft of water, 18-24 inches deep around some stake beds and submerged cedar trees.

A friend of mine said he trolled and caught 8 in 20+ ft of water fishing 17 ft deep.

I say the spawn is about over? Local Game Warden said he believed that 80% of the crappie had spawned? The only fish I caught were black crappie, all male.

Oh well, just a little info if youe going out tomorrow. GOOD LUCK!!!

    :D

Thanks to all of you. FISHERMARINE It sounds like you caught yours in the general vicinity that we caught ours last week. We'll try that this morning. It will be nice to just have a calm morning on the lake. Our 16.5 ProCraft can get a rest.

I caught 18 keepers yesterday in Bean Creek. I planned on fishing down at Water Valley and Billy's Creek but had engine problems. I caught all my fish in 14 to 18 fow 12 to 13 feet deep. I was trolling roadrunners and blue and white caught more fish than any other color. Caught one fish 18 1/4 long did not weigh it but was a HOG. I had one pole with a 3" swim bait and caught that big fish on it.

I forgot to tell you this, they had a bass tournament yesterday and watched a guy catch 4 nice crappie on a spinnerbait in about 2 fow. So there are still some fish in shallow.

Some very nice slabs were caught in Bean Creek yesterday, unfortunately, I wasn't doing the catching. Since I was fishing with minnows I apparently was missing the mark wide. The ones that were caught were on jigs, fished vertically in the grass beds. The fish were caught in five fow at four feet depth.

We did manage to catch a few, but not keepers.
