The Rez is full of both bluegill and shellcrackers. The gills should be full throttle on the bed right now, shellcrackers are winding down as they spawn in cooler temps.

I was wondering about the bream, bluegill and shell crackers or chinquapin as they are called in Mississippi at the reservoir. I am usually a speck fisherman, crappie as they are called. Is it a good thing place to fish for them, I want to take my kids out for some fun.

Feesh is right. I don’t fish the main lake, but the upper end is always good. Above 43. Troll along the banks of the old lakes and pitch crickets. You’ll find em.
