I'd call that a lucky day. Compared to what could have happened

I saw you. Did you hurt your leg or foot? If that was you, which I think it was, you were having a hard go of it walking. Wasn't much to be done to help you once those wave had you on the bank. Best that could be done is wait and then get her emptied out, which as you noted, were doing when I left. That guy should never try to put a boat on a trailer with waves even a fraction that size. It was getting beat to death on those rocks, so I assume he decided best just to pull it up on the ramp. I've seen it a hundred times, people pull into that bank with waves coming in directly behind them. Ain't nothing but bad going to happen with that. Glad you got out and safe.

My neighbor and fishing buddy got caught on Sardis years ago and said he hasn't been back on it again.

glad youre ok. i was there too. fishing around the indian mound but put in at lespedeza. had moved around a bit obviously. when i heard the thunder i checked the radar. kept an eye on it for about thirty minutes and decided it was time to go. i got off the water before the wind hit. ive been on the lake once like that before, at night, running trot lines. most scared ever been.

Why is there more bad stories about Sardis than Enid or Grenada?
