    Default Which lake over Thanksgiving

Well looks like me and the wife will have a few extra days off over Thanksgiving, and we have never fished anywhere in Mississippi. So we figured why not give it a go, but unsure which lakes will be fishable with the winter draw downs and most marinas closing that time of year. So I was wondering if anyone could help point us in the right direction of which lake to go to and possibly where to stay.

That's hard to say. The big 4 turn on and off depending on weather. I'd get a cabin at the state park on Enid lake. That way you have Enid and short drive to Grenada or north to Sardis. One of the 3 should be fish able with fish biting around that time. Our weather that time of year is very unpredictable.

    Cray is spot on.
If we are pool Grenada will be very iffy as far as even unloading and getting out in the lake. Enid and Sardis will be accessible , even at winter pool.

Call Roy's at Lake Washington. Better accommodations than the other option. Bring some crock pots to cook your meals while you fish. 25 minutes to Greenville to any restaurants. Beautiful lake get away!!
