    Default Gums Crossing Bridge


    The bridge at Gums Crossing will be closed starting tomorrow morning remaining closed all week. They expect to finish by Friday but who knows with the weather they are predicting this week. Will update as the work progresses.

    It's about time, that bridge will just about throw your boat of the trailer. I know it will be a big inconvenience for the folks that live on the south side of gums.

    Yeah the beams on each end are broke and letting it sag, they had hoped to close one lane at a time but that would be too dangerous. Been closed to loaded trucks for a year now.

    Heck if it can be fixed in a week y'all doing good. Here we are on month 16 with Highway 51 being shutdown over Coldwater river.

    Do you know the status on the bridge closing Rees? I may try to get down that way one day later this week and that's my preferred route.
