Water Temps
Is there a technique or device that someone uses to get water temps if you do not have a boat or depth finder that displays the water temp?

E-Bay is flooded right now with Minn Kota Air and Water Temperature Sensors. I just bought one of them tonite for 12.25 (8.00+4.25 S&H). There are two different kinds. One only displays one reading at a time and only has a 10 foot lead. The better one,and the one that I bought, shows air and water temps plus time and comes with a 20+ foot lead.
If you can get one between 10 to 13 bucks, including S&H, thats real good.

You could go to a pet store or Wal-Mart that sells aquariums and get a floating thermometer. Shouldn't be more than $5 I would imagine.

A lot like the old Wannabe... except with fewer bad words. And Karate chop action. But, yes, still purtier than you.
