I have mixed emotions about this topic. I have met a lot of nice fishermen thru this site that I never would've came in contact with otherwise, met a few peckerwoods also. I have received tremendous blessings from people here after the tornado via a big ole gift certificate to Grizzly Jig. It helped replace most all my poles and gear. I will never know who or how much anyone contributed, for this I am humbled and grateful and the only way I know how to repay is to help others I find in need along the way. Now to the subject on hand, I think it is naive to believe that posts and pics here do not have an impact of a considerable sort. Simply looking at the amount of views of certain post pretty much sums it up. Recently Donnie's post with pics from the Ten Tom got 1k views, MsSlabs post comparing Grenada and The Rez with pics received over 2k views. Several others with pics got anywhere from 500-1000 views. Compare those with posts pertaining to info about which line to use or why your motor is acting up and it's painfully obvious we are being watched. From serious tournament fishermen and guides, to the guy who only goes twice a year, they all gleam every bit of info from here they can, but very few offer any help or advice here. Hats off to the ones who do , you my friends are the exception! I've done my share of boasting and bragging in the past both here and Facebook, showing pics of great catches and giant fish and I will probably show some pics in the future. They just will not be anywhere near the time they were caught nor will I say from where they came. I will be glad to get anyone started or offer help and advice to someone who asks, but if your a tourney fisherman and want to know some info...good luck. You obviously have more time to figure it out than I do.
I also should add that some of the best fishermen on here almost never post pics

Guess we lost that feature, At the bottom of the page we could see who was watching this thread, members, non-members and bots.

A few years back I sent a picture to another member of my catch at Honey creek and it was posted. Some people know it as Sugar ditch. Saturday morning a cousin calls, there must be 40 trucks and trailers around the area. The ramp area won't hold but 2 trucks with trailers, it's a gravel path through the trees. My next trip to the water took over an hour to launch my 12 ft flat bottom from my truck because the ramp was torn up. Fished a good part of the day and not the first keeper.
Thanks MidMsAngler thanked you for this post

I like seeing pictures of your catch. Knowing your location I can pretty well tell where you fished. MS, Mississippi don't get it. Showing pictures on the water with land masses in the background pretty well gives your spot away.
The big 4 has a 12" limit. I don't care for the taste of 12"+ crappie. I'd rather have 9 to 11" crappie for my dinner.
We can't stop publications boosting MS is where the big fish are. Look at nader website, home of the 3# crappie. Enid, home of the world record. Look at that closer, it was caught in the spillway, not the lake. How did Water Valley get to be the home site.

There is a man from MO they call the king of pies. He's short, round and with a low center of gravity (weebles wobble but they don't fall down), I made the mistake of bumping him at a boofey one time to get the last piece of apple pie, well, he weebled over and wobbled back. Once I climbed up from the corner, all I saw was a crazy grin as he chewed and swallowed down the last bite, tin pie plate and all.

Yep, that Speck is a pie man for sure.

A lot like the old Wannabe... except with fewer bad words. And Karate chop action. But, yes, still purtier than you.
