Thread: Sardis Friday

I am going to Sardis tomorrow to try it out. Did anybody go yesterday or today? Any luck? I had somebody I know try Monday of this week, and he did not do well at all. He went in the area around the marina and only caught one. He said the water was about 11 feet deep in the area between engineer's point and the marina. Is that too low for this area to produce right now? Any pointers would be great. This will be one of the last times I get to go for awhile since we are about to have a new baby!

When that baby gets here, you'll be shut down bro!

A friend of mine fished in the marina area today and had no luck.Hopefully you will do better tomorrow

We did pretty good today at the marina. Our bites came in spurts, and most of them were late. There was not one boat around the channel or the marina when we were fishing. Most of the fish we caught we small, but we did manage to catch a few nice fish.

Good to hear you caught some, aportis. We went and had no luck. Fished early and left around lunch....got tired of messing with the wind. Didn't look like anybody we saw had much luck. We need some water bad!!

When I put the boat in i talked to a guy leaving, and he was saying that nobody was catching fish. I guess they just turned on late yesterday. We were gonna go down to clear creek, but we couldnt get our engine to start. Our only option was to troll around the marina because the wind was so bad out in the channel. I dont think we would of done near as good anywhere else because of the strong winds. We only fished the spots that were sheltered from the wind, and jigged the same spots over and over. It took alot of coaxing to get them to bite. We only left with 11, but yesterday was a hell of alot better than any other day weve had this week.
