    Default arkabutla question

If you go to hernando point can you park at the campground and walk to the upper end and look around. I guess what I am saying is if it is dry ground? I want to go up to the flat on the upper end. I was going to walk across the cove on the left leaving hernando point and go up there just wondering if this is possible?

the reward is great if you have the patience to find them. just remember to not get discouraged by the muddy water, the crappie don't mind it

Hey guys, I've got an Arkabutla question myself. Is there a website that has a decent map of the lake? I read all of the posts on here about the lake and would like to learn more about it. Thanks.

I have not found a good one, but if there ever was one I dont think it will be to accurate. This lake is silting in bad, most of the creek channels are not very defined anymore untill get to the upper reaches of the creek arms. You can get a general map of the lake in the little map boxes down at the spillway or at the field office, if you have any kind of street mapping software it will show the old river channel because the river is the county line, thats how I found some good winter catfishing spots. The old channel swings in close to the bank in a few spots.
