Thread: Thruhull Aluminum Transducer???

Have any of yall tried this???

TC, That's a very interesting ad. I had always thought that it was impossible to use a thru-hull setup with aluminum. I would also like to see a response from anyone who has tried it.

Hay guys I have a uncle that has a humming bird I belive is a 2000 or3000 that been shooting thur the hull of his jon boat 25 or30 years i didnt think it was posible but i have seen it with my own eyes many times.

I think I'm gonna try it. I've now broken off the secound transducer. There is just so much stuff in Sardis to hit. I'll post up what I think about it in a couple of weeks.

would you mind telling me how your uncle mounted this transducer ?

I installed the transducer this weekend. I tried it out yesterday. It works till about 20 mph then does what most of them do. The detail is fine and shows "fish" and structure real well. I'm satisfied. I don't have anything on the back of my boat now to get broke off.:D
