Spillway discharge has been cut in half and it should be completely shut off by the weekend with the lake only being 0.4 above the curve

With the spillway cut back have the white bass been doing anything up in the mouth of the spillway or is it too cold for them.

you could probb pick up some good crappie fishing up in the mouth of the spillway on either side, use some glow chart skirts and a cork, or either tight line off the wall , and bounce them off the bottom!

thats what i'm gonna try and do sunday morning!

    Default White Bass

X25, I have been checking for the white bass up in the white water, but have not had any luck to date. The water temp is still 41-42 degrees, and I think that may be too cold for their spring run.

I picked 17 good crappie today at Sardis. Fished all morn and a little after lunch they were still hitting when I left. Fish that were caught today were pretty deep again. I was fishing anywhere from 10-12ft deep using red/chart. and black/chart at times and swaping up with hot pink and red/white all tipped with a nibble. Very subtle bites at best after 12 pm had to throw it in there mouth. I might try them again in the morn.

    Default Spillway

Spawner, I agree on the depth and light bite for most of last week. I tried it briefly Sat. morning and the bite was almost non-existant. I didn't see your vehicle, so maybe you didn't miss much.

I think the water flow will stabilize now and the fishing should improve next week. I plan on being there to check it out.
