This map shows the locations of two fish from release on 12/18/10 to present. Green is fish 34 and red is fish 49.

Nor did I Don - Makes you wonder about the fish caught and released during a tournement - Do the re-establish close to the release point of do they know how to find their way back to what they called home??

That is some very interesting results. I just don't see any pattern. It appears pretty random to me. Can anyone else glean any pattern from it?

    Ha, could be.
Fish 34 did have two weeks (2/20 to 3/6) to make the biggest part of that move. We figured out the swimming speed required for another fish to make a similar move earlier in the season and I think it came out to something like 6 cm/sec. I think it was 5.8 miles in about a week. That assumes a straight line which is highly unlikely but that speed is barely even noticeable movement.

I believe #34 has some other place it needs to be.
