MDWFP Fishing Forum

I guess the budget crisis has hit the above mentioned forum. Does anyone know what the status is? Looks to me as though it's gone!!!!!!!!! What a loss. I'll bemoan the loss.

They just kinda blamed it on budget but the truth is a bunch of guys trashed the site with posts that violated the rules. Since only a few Fish and Game employees moderate it they got fed up and locked all the forums except for a few fully moderated ones ( they have to approve your post before it goes up). Its really a shame as I really enjoyed that open fishing forum.

Thanks, Tracker. I think I read that more than one site was vying for the right to download all the posts from the MDFWP site and continue with the operation. I don't know how that would work out since it would not be the real McCoy. It wouldn't be the same as talking with Keith or Dennis. These guys kept us up to date on reg. changes and such. I'll miss having that direct line to MDWFP.

They did not copy all the posts.....they just copied the format. I joined the site...its just not the same.

Too bad they shut down. Maybe if they hadn't been like nazi's about everything folks might have hung around and they might have some ad dollars come in thru that medium...I bet BC and the Clarionliar is next!!!
