Thread: Arkabutla Dreging Update

Guy from COE called this am to give me an update on the dreging operation.They are finishing Bayou Pt. and should be moving over to Dub Patton today. Should be finished next week. They are going to try to get a big track hoe into the Hwy.51 ramp and clean it out and they are going to try to do some more work in the mouth of Hickahala. All this work will make launching easier during the winter drawdown. The only ramp they cant get to is Pleasant hill, not enough water for the drege.

What ramps are open right now at 'Butla? From what I am looking at on the coe website it looks like Bayou pt would be the only one, is that correct or did the dredging that has been done make the others accessible at this water level?

I think Hernando pt , Kelly Crossing< Bayou Pt. are accessable They started on Dub Patton about noon today and should be open in a few days. The only one they cant do is pleasant hill.
