Default Lake Grenada Fishing Trip, Mid-March

Hello all! I have been watching this forum for about a week because my brothers, Dad, Father-in-law, and I have all decided to plan a crappie fishing trip to Lake Grenada in mid-March. We are from the Missouri Ozarks. We were kind of heasitant to plan this trip because we have never been before. So far, I have read a lot of good information! Does anybody care to share some tips or trick for fishing Lake Grenada? Thanks!

Wish for warmer weather! Fishing has been terrible for a while.

    1) Start calling it Grenada Lake, not Lake Grenada.

    2) Follow Feelay's advice.

    3) Bring spider rigging and single pole equipment.

    4) Lower your expectations if you're coming the second weekend, increase them if you're coming the third.

    5) Water is still cold with cold weather this week, a warm snap this weekend, then colder again.

    6) Bribe a weatherman.

    7) We've got a tournament scheduled for the 13th with the folks from here on the board. Don't expect too much as far as specifics until after then.

    8) Shoot me a PM right before you come and I'll let you know what the word is.

A lot like the old Wannabe... except with fewer bad words. And Karate chop action. But, yes, still purtier than you.

    Wannabe...

We did our research and scheduled the trip for the weekend of the 20th - 21st to avoid any tournaments. Check on the correct pronunciation, Grenada Lake. I will keep checking the board regularly, especially after the tournament the weekend before to see what the crappie are doing. I will make sure and send you a PM Wannabe just before we come, thanks! I will be wishing for warmer weather for you guys, us too!

Question - do you own a shirt with a sleeve on it?

    I rest my case.
