    Default Lakeview Lake

I wondered why I wasn't seeing any reports coming out of Lakeview lately. So I had to go see for myself.

Looks to me like everyone is too busy putting bluegills in their boat to post messages here!!!

I managed to lift about 20 bream from the 40ish degree water myself, that is when I wasn't throwing back the 50+ under-the-10"-limit crappie that fell in love with my jig.

    Also....

PLEASE, please, please honor the 10" limit. I personally witnessed way too many of you filling your coolers with illegal fish. Come on guys!!!

It is on the Ms/Tn/Ark line, bigger. I don't fish it anymore because of all the GEWBERS it attracts. One ramp, and it is always a cluster @#$%.

No slow trolling. That is WAY too much work for me. Plus I love to feel that bump and you miss that excitement trolling.

As for the idiots on the boatramp, they were out in force this weekend too. One pair of mental giants decided to lauch their boat on the side of the ramp which is a good thing. But then just as I was backing my boat into the water on the other side of the ramp one of them decided to use a pull rope to pull the boat onto the concrete ramp instead of pulling the boat off to the side.

The result is that the boat, naturally, goes sideways on the ramp and dude can't seem to dislodge his boat from blocking the ramp.

Fifteen minutes later, with other trucks behind me, I'm finally able to complete unloading my trailer...

But thankfully, the dynamic duo managed to keep their feet on the concrete ramp instead of having to stand on the sandy shore. Whew....that was a close one...

    Hmmm....

    I'm too young to retire.
I'm too unlucky to win the lottery.
I'm too broke(2 in college...) to quit my job.

I'm in the working class that only get to fish on the weekends...

Jim, you are exactly right! I have seen the ditch when you could walk across the boats all the way back. With the 10 inch and 15 it is not worth the 6 or 7 bucks to launch on the weekend. I really like to fish the lake but don't like the crowds at the ramp. Hopefully the limits will put the lake back in shape in another year or two. In my opinion the lake was over fished and the Asian carp are not helping either. I duck hunted the lake over the winter and saw a lot of Asian carp dead back in mud lake. Yes! Lets keep our fingers crossed. Maybe we got rid of a few of them. Jim lets go crook a few in soon! DB
