Going to be near Tupelo next week. Anyone have any spots that might be of interest. Got a couple days there. Kinda like the little waters this time of year though. Any suggestions would be sweeeeet.

Give Elvis Presley state lake there in Tupelo a try. Some good crappie fishing there and a small lake to narrow the search.
The crappie are hitting around the stumps in the far north end of Lake Lamar Bruce also.

Im all about little 1 and 2 inch jigs. Black and blue or all white. Any tips in the jig areas. 1/16? 1/32? Also I read about a lot of you guys drifting the channels. How in the world do you keep them jigs down in deep water if your drifting. I usually tap the trolling motor against the wind but it still seems like The jigs still seem to work up shallow. Bigger Jigs or?

Yep Lamar Bruce may be where you want to go. Check out these pics and report this week from there.

We have been using horse head jigs with 1/16 or 1/8 heads. We usually troll at the slowest trolling speed we can. They have been biting good for two weeks now. We have brought home 155 crappie between two of us on the last 4 trips. Its been fun. We are planning on hitting it again tomorrow.
The fish in the pics look like they are all black crappie. Is that right? Those are some nice fish.
Yep they were all specks.
I think trace lake has some good fish in it.
Stick yo jig in there!

Trace Lake has so much grass in it that its hard to fish. The crappie bite is on at Elvis Presley Lake as well as Lake Lamar Bruce. Slow trolling...1/100 oz. and 1/80 oz. jigs.
