Thread: Ross Barnett Yesterday

I had already planned to fish yesterday but the call I got Saturday night about the limits caught earlier in the day just reinforced my desire to catch um! I started out where the good reports came from along with several other MCC members. The bite was on from the get go! After several hours of catching fish we decided to venture out and look for new fish. Me and my partner caught lots of fish on the river ledge slow trolling minnows and jigs. Around 11:00 I got a call from one of my MCC buddies that the real bite had turned on and I better get over there! I pulled up to find about 25 boats just wearing the fish out! There were allot of little ones being caught but a fair share of slabs were being caught to. We caught a cooler full of slabs (although not as big as those Grenada slabs I saw pictures of) and were back at the house by 1:00. It was a great day on the lake.

I hadn't drank to much Saturday night at the bacholor party. Had the boat still hooked up and saved my minners from Saturday. Just couldn't function. LOL

I'm sorry Hugh, but your post doesn't count without pics. I mean, we wouldn't let Maj get away with it and rulz is rulz.

Slab good to hear that you caught them on some jigs!! LOL Congrats!!!

Have they started catching the on the River channel Northeast of 43 yet? Remember last year about this time, MAYBE a little later on we had the channel slam packed with boats about a 1/4 mile Northeast of the bridge. Wore them out that day
