Hey all,
I live in Louisiana about 10 miles south of the Mississippi state line, about 1 mile off I-55. I am considering purchasing an out of state license to fish in Mississippi in my 1985 charger bass boat with 140 hp motor, but want to know which lakes/bodies of water would be close to me before I invest the $50. I love to catch (and eat) crappie (sac-a-lait, white perch), but also have been known to fish for bass and bream. I am interested in information about Lake Tangipahoa in Percy Quinn, Calling Panther, Okhissa, and others. I would need lakes that are not HP limited since I have a 140 hp outboard. I know there is lots of good fishing in Ross Barnett, Enid, and others but not sure I want to go that far, since it is about 2 hours to Jackson for me. I am more interested in fishing opportunities near McComb, Brookhaven, Crystal Springs, Tylertown, etc. Thanks in advance for your help.

copiah lake is in Wesson and it is slap full of big bass.
Calling Panther stocked Crappie a couple or 3 years ago but you can catch a few. Have no idea where or anything else though, only been there 1 time for Bream and it was just fertalized a few days before we got there so no fish caught. OH, LSU got HOSED bigtime against Bammer, that was aweful
