Thread: Sunday, 11-1-9

Well I did make it out today, finally, after waiting in Academy's parking lot for over 1/2 hour. Seems I had to pay a "stupid tax" today as I was too lazy last trip out to break my brandnew 12' Shapesphere jig pole down and "properly" store it in a rod holder. Well yes, I broke the tip off before I even got out of the parking lot at Cappy's for gas. Got on the water at 43 around 9:00 and saw lots of boats in the welfare hole, a nice guy showed me where it is. I played around there drifting, trying to keep on the dropoffs etc. BTW. the seafoam and deep creek worked very very well. Treated with the deep creek prior to leaving the house (sprayed directly into carb), added seafoam to gas, and as someone recommended, ran the snot out of it. I'm now a believer. No fish, so no pics.

Maj I am really surprised you did not get a fish at the welfare hole. The timing should be about right to pick up a couple of fish there. Did you see anybody catching one or two?

and hate ya didn't catch any fesh though. Wife and I are trying to figure out if we want to hit the rez or go to Eagle Lake this coming Saturday. Sure I'll be at the rez sunday no matter what though. Hollar at me before the weekend gets here Maj

Haven't we discussed this already Maj? Just cause you didn't catch any fish doesn't mean you can't post any pics. I'll demonstrate in a minute. Heck, you had ample photo subject just from your short story. Beautiful scenery, other boats fishing, laying down smoke cover across the lake, even a pic of your broken rod would have been interesting.

C'mon now. You can do better. And we deserve better. So git wit da program.

Now, that's more like it. Sort of an after action photo essay. Dern though, you must have whopped that boat pretty hard to break your pole and your trailer all at the same time.
