    Default Fish tales

OK, me first. I did go below the spillway at the rez on Sat. Even took my camera. Wish I had taken a picture of those two good looking jigs before I broke them off. Oh well. So now that's three trips in my new-to-me boat with only one fish caught. I think that I'll move my bottom jaw just a little to the right.

this is just my oppinion, but to heck with the rez spillway. Hit up 43 and go up and down river lots of good fall, spring, and summer places to hit there, esp when you learn them

Default I did stuff around the house Saturday

Wanted to give this front another day in hopes the fish would bite better. That spillway can be a tough SOB at times. I've been down there Maj and sat or trolled around for 3 or 4 hours without a bite, then BAMM, they started all of the sudden just smashing it. They'll bite one minute and stop for no reason. Just bite in spells down there.
I went to 43 Sunday morning about daylight personally. Started at the welfare hole then that wind picked up to 15 MPH and I got mad as the dickens. JUST about went home and decided to head south to see if I could find an area out of the wind. Was wierd and I ain't complaining, the wind died and the lake slicked over. I did notice something yesterday though. I was keeping anything over 9 inches last year and now, if it's not 10 1/2 of so, it goes back. LOL Picked up 1 decent fish about a 12 inches at welfare hole and then caught about 6 or 7 at 3 prong and a new place I found:D Only kept 2 fish though. NICE Speck, didn't measure her but she went 1.7 pounds. Just a fat girl. Had several bites at the new place but seems the only rods they were hitting were the one's in the holders. Had 2 poles in the holders and one on each hand. Bout how it usually is though, got one ine each hand and a couple out in the holders, they bite the one's in the holders. LOL Straight minner and red octopus hook bout 10-12 foot down in 20 FOW

Ya'll are right about that below the spillway stuff. Boats all is a big knot in one spot & the ramp not too much fun for solo operations. Those are sure some nice ramps up at 43.

Got up early. Fished until I had to get ready for a 1200 report time. You see, I really like to fish.
