Any of you fellers from down here in the good part of Mississippi? I fish the Pascagoula river and the sound just wondering if you fellers catching any fish? We been doing pretty good up river (fresh water)
and at the mouth of Pascagoula river (salt water). We been going everyday now for about a month and have been catching a variety of fish (Flounder.Speckled Trout, Red Fish, Crappie. Bream and a Catfish every once in a while. Since we have the best of both salt and fresh water just wondering how you guys are doing?

I have no advice for you on South MS, however, I will offer DonDon in trade for some Shrimp if you've got any. I'll even deliver him to you this weekend and you can keep him for good if you'll bring me the shrimp in return. Whatdoyasay? Deal?

    Wannabe...

If you don't have shrimp, a bag of redfish'll do.

A lot like the old Wannabe... except with fewer bad words. And Karate chop action. But, yes, still purtier than you.

Flounder are biting close to the bank just about anywhere along the Coast now. Bring a minnow trap catch a crab smash him good with you foot and put him in minnow trap this will catch the bait you need to catch them flounder, low tide around marsh area should get you all the bait you need for flounder. Specks they a little harder to find but if you go to the beach wade out and fish with live shrimp with popping cork about 18 inches let it lay if they school close by you will catch them. The fellow on the Charter should know where them specks are hiding. Who is the charter and where you gonna be fishing? I don't fish deep water salt so I can't help any with that, but in the bays and rivers I could put you on them. I don't like the beating you take on them days when the wind kicks up them waves. When the clouds start building on in the gulf I run to fresh water lol. The name of them minners you gonna be trying to catch are called Bull Minnows most bait shops have both the shrimp and minnows. Good luck and enjoy your stay down here.

Wannabee them shrimp would probaly be a good trade but redfish? I will give you all the red fish I catch I usually throw them back. I don't like them. But now Flounder & Specks I could see why you would take them for a trade off but a red? I would rather eat a Croaker lol.

Default We decided late to get a charter

and the first 2 that I knew about were full up. We ended yp with Capt Earl on the WhippaSnappa. Jazzy name anyways. LOL Going to the Islands Saturday morning for a 7 hour trip. Heck, wasn't but 445 for 4 people for 6-7 hours. not bad at all. We should be able to get on some specks, reds and Pompano out there. Gonna take my flyrod with me so I can catch a few that way. Trying to find a place to fish from the beach Thursday and friday evenings though and only found 1 pier to fish off of so far. RATHER hit the beach though and wade. Got one of those 25 foot stringers with a float on it so IF a shark decides he wants dinner, it ain't me. LOL We're in Bay St louis so you got any reccomendations on where to go for the fish I was talking about and some crab trapping? Thinking about on the East side of the bay, looked like on Google Earth it may be the best place

    Default Oh, got popping corks

2 colors of DOA Shrimp and gonna pick up some live bait to fish with. Know the crab traps we use are open and to use chicken necks for bait. Bout all we know so far. We're staying in a rental house on the west side of the bay and have a canel right behind it. Think it'll hold some crab that far back in there? 5th street or something like that
