Thread: See where only one or 2 of ya had any luck

this weekend. Count me in the NO FISH CATCHING crowd. Well, I caught fish but the wrong kind. these went meowwwww. LOL Not a breathe of wind stirring at my house which is less than 3 miles from Ross Barnett so I'm thinking FINALLY no whitecaps. UMMMMMM, Anyone got any connections with the government so I can get a wall built around the rez to keep the wind out. Wind was coming straight down the lake from 43 and rolling waves bout a foot and a half to 2 foot tall with the occasional whitecap. AAAHHHHHHHH I wanted to troll around with my jig poles and see what I could get into so I got 4 poelks sset out with a double jig setup and tried over by Pelahatchie causeway, just to get out of the wind. Nothing doing there except for a couple smallish cats. Then I got brave and went up to 3 prong, same thing, bouncing up and down, getting pushed through stumps, got hung up a couple times, things like that. Just glad that Hugh didn't see the fit I threw just before I ran into him. LOL By the time I ran into him,. I had my crank baits on up at 3 prong. Hey hugh, that sho is a beautiful dog man. Absolutely gorgious and great to meet ya. Anyways, worked cranks from the Northeast side of 3 prong all the way to roses bluff and NOT 1 CRAPPIE, got several cats but no crappie. Someone call me if you're on the rez, on a weekend and there's no wind, I ain't going back until that happens. Heck, I may move up to Grenada just to get away from the wind AAAHHHH I'll go stay with Bigger, sure he won't mind

Good to meet you Don. It was slow for me as well. I didn't get out on the water until 8:30 and left and noon. I caught 9 crappie jig fishing the stumps. Me and my partner had a better day at Chotard Saturday. We went over there to practice long line trolling with jigs. We must have caught 50-60 crappie and kept 26. It was allot of fun!

Heard it's had alot of pressure lately. I've got to find another lake for the weekends that is close to get outta this wind mess.

Don Don I caught 22 sat afternoon real quick. Went back Sunday with Satdoc and the gar had moved in. We changed lakes late yesterday and ended up with 12 nice ones. Satdoc let a monster get off and I gave him a bunch of @*&^ about it. Well 1 hour later I let a monster get off......I still haven't heard the end of it.

I'm gonna have to learn how to get to Eagle or something so when I get out there and see whitecaps, I can just drive to another lake. I would go upriver and try it but not with all the pleasure boats on the rez. HOW do all these people afford some of these boats their in. 35 foot baha's, things like that.

Easy answer Don - they work for the government and just got a nice raise.

I gave up around 11:30 yesterday morning after getting beat to death again and all the idiots were just putting their boats in the water. Man, some of those folks boats cost more than my house does

Yea we clipped em pretty good on grenada Sat and went back sunday and ended ep with 6 all day.......pretty poor.

don, just wondering................whats a poelk? you set up 4 poelks and fished. are they better then jig poles?

and darn sure don't check what I type. LOL
