Gonna carry my family again this weekend and I'm trying to decide between Enid and trecking back up to Sardis.

A lot like the old Wannabe... except with fewer bad words. And Karate chop action. But, yes, still purtier than you.
Haven't heard either Wannabe, but I'm gonna try this weekend myself.
Wannabe, its the same pull cranks in the mouths of the creeks. I don't know how much rain they got over there and that could be a factor also.
Drake Waterfowl Prostaff, Dakota Decoys Prostaff,F&F Boats,Mercury MarineRig Em Right, NAPA Autoparts, Crappie Logic Jigs, Kick's Choke Tubes and LFT lures.
I had 1.5" in my rain gauge this AM. Figure Enid is pretty dang close. What's got me really going is the weather report says a high in the mid 80s for Saturday and an overnight low in the mid 50s. That's weather a fatboy can really sink his teeth into.

our guys saying we'll get to the low 60's. Still record Lows for july and I love it. Not sure with the rain and cold front coming through what it'll do to the crappie though. If'n it ain;t raining this evening, I may try and hit the rez after work. Good luck bud pulling cranks. I'll be single polling it

Went out to Enid this morning and tried my hand at some of this trolling. I had lines strung out all over creation! I wasn't using but four poles but I had more line than 10 men could need. Did not catch a single crappie in about 2 hours. Trolling the mouth of Long Branch, fishing four poles from 8ish to probably 15ish feet deep, with jigs and minnows. Probably should've tried some different but I didn't have time. And I had no humminbird so there probably wasn't any fish around me! Anyway it was fun to be trolling again. I'll be back out there this weekend. Maybe I'll see some of ya'll running around.
On the bright side of it though, I did "almost" catch something. I hooked something probably 10 feet down but before I could get it to the top of the water it broke my line. Huge something or other.
That gar or a big ole cat will break ya off FASt if you ain;t got the drag set good. I have to leave mine loose on the rez for that reason

I had the drag off or on which ever means that there is no pull on the reel. I'll be altering that little situation before I bait up again. No doubt that when that thing decided to head east, it went east and there was nothing my little 8lb line could say about it.
I got ahold of a few 6-10 poiund stripers on the rez and got most of them in. Think 7 pounds was the biggest and landed him on 10 LB test stren. LOL OH, got a 17 1/2 pound drum on it to. I've changed to PowerPro Braid now, 20 lb test. Got more strength AND since it's smaller in diameter, it runs the cranks abit deeper. Son as Bigger gets back in town, gonna get a couple 16 foot poles so I won't tangle like I did the other day again. I don;t mind a couple poles getting tangled but 6 AT ONCE, aw man, I was about to blow a gaskit on that. Nothing like seeing a 2 foot around ball of line with 6 crankbaits in the middle of it. LOL Nessa said she was cringing when she say all 6 tangled up cause I usually go off. I didn't though and got everything back in the water fast

DonDon, I'm ain't no pro on this pulling cranks, but Jeff White said one time he use's snap swivels on all his. If you get a cluster just unsnap the crank bait, it makes it much easier to untangle the cluster.
