Default Fall trip to Mississippi

There is a group of guys from around Nashville that go fishing a couple of times a year. This October we are planning on a trip to North Ms. Which of the lakes do you guys think would be the best at that time. We were thinking about Sardis or Butla. And any recommendations of where to stay would be appreciated. My oldest son lives down state south of Hattisburg and is planning on coming up.

From what I have seen and heard, I would try Sardis and / or Enid....my 2 cents...

Butla is good right now, but the numbers may be limited due to the upcoming tournament....lot of fishing there right now trying to "learn" the lake....

I say come on down but the dead of summer and the spawn are going to be the easiest times to catch fish on unknown waters. Spawn go to the bank...Summer, head for vertical structure...THey'll be schooling up for the run after the schools of shad but there in lies the big problem...Finding the shad in open water...
