Talking Sardis 08/03/08

We went to Sardis last Sunday. We caught about 36, but we only had 9 keepers. The water was as still as it could be! We had a great time, untill the boaters started getting in the way and running right by us. I my go later in the day on Saturday.

Default Sardis Sunday

I'll be there this coming Sunday. I still have yet to make up my mind on what I wanna fish for. Love me some specks, but those big cats are fun, and pretty darn decent to fry up.

By the way, is there anyone here that knows where to buy live, or at least FRESH shad somewhere between Memphis and Sardis? I just don't feel like digging out the trap and baskets.

Could someone tell me why those big ski boats from Marina decide to drive within 100 feet of me whenever I'm trolling at Sardis (and often closer if I'm spider rigging)?

I'm thinking about buying a big ski rig just to be able to go swamp them everytime they are trying to pull a skier up or when they're swimming off those pretty boats of their's.

Nice catch Taylor!

I had my 8 year old step son out on Sardis a week or two ago. We were cathing Crappie two, three and four at a time. Then, this boat decides it wants to ski all over the little bit of water we were fishing. Guess what, fish stopped biting. I tried to wave the guy off of us which just made them ski by more and wave when they did it! JACK$$$ I left a note on his truck stating that I was considerate enough to leave the air in his truck tires and that he he might want to try being considerate sometime.

Note: It has been tough to get my step son interested in fishing much but that day was his idea and we were tearing them up. He was having a blast.

I don't get it! A 27 mile long lake and they want to ski between me, a rock point and the bank! What gives???

All I can say is the same people that ski between you and the rocks, are the same people that cut you off and pull out in front of you on the roads. I would be so mad if one of them hit my boat cause they were trying to show off there boat. I would like to give them that magic finger sometimes. They know there doing something wrong when they go right by you, cause there all looking at you.
