Default Kayak fishin 08

Well, we finally are starting to get some warm enough weather for some bass fishin'
Met Jim "fishface" bonin at the river and he walked off to his spot while I got my kayak ready to paddle upstream. The fish had the feed bag on for sure, sipping mayflies off the top.
I wish I would have brought some dry flies, as those fish were keyed in on the small mayflies.
I started throwing a MT jig and got a nice one pretty quickly.
Then moved up aways to where Jim was fishing. He was getting a few on his flyrod with buggers and clouser minnows.
Two others were getting em off the bank with small dry flies on top, looked fun!
I got some bass on grubs and Ring-N tubes. I had something big on for a little while, felt like a snag at first but then it started thumpin', probably a cat, or a big carp!
It sure was great to be back on the water again!
here are the pics!

rigged up and ready to go!

on the water

aahhhhh good to be on the water!

fishface tried to get a fish for the camera, better luck next time! haha

getting dark...time to go, wow what a day!
no monsters came in, but lots of fun rodbending action nonetheless!
