Default What's the Vermilion River like?

Headed up to the Vermilion River in two weeks and was wondering if any body could tell me how the water is? I know there has not been much rain but was wanting to know if any of the latest rain has made it that way and raised the water level.
If you have any clues how the fishing is in that area it would be appreciated.
thanks....

He'll know what's happening in the area.Vermillion tackle is located in downtown Tower Minnesota.good luck to ya!

Also here's the latest report I've found.

LAKE VERMILLION

Walleyes are hitting minnows and leeches during the day in 22 to 28 feet. The exception has been during the evening when small jigs and minnows are turning fish on the eight- to 15-foot mud areas. Anglers fishing from their docks have caught walleyes after dark with slip bobbers and minnows. Quite a few six- to 10-pound pike are being caught with the walleyes. A few crappies starting showing up in Black Bay over one to three feet of water.
