Default Acrtic armor

Is there any better cold weather clothing than Arctic Armor. Iam looking for some good night stalking clothing.

Not sure what night stalking is, but I like my arctic armor for cold days in the boat, or ice fishing. not too great in the rain though.

Default Night stalking

Night stalking is crappie fishing at night. It is usually fairly productive and not very crowded. Most people head for the landing just before dark.

Question Arctic Armor ?

I have read up on Arctic Armor but have found no one that has said if it will cause you to get hot like wool or if it is just so insulated it uses your own body heat? What temps do the AA suit start getting hot while being still? Thanks!

I'm curious about your statement of "not too great in the rain" when all the info I see about Acrtic armor says it is waterproof.

i.d.i gear : arctic armor ice fishing apparel

I got a suit for Christmas and absolutely love it!!!

I've worn other floatation suits and they're so thick, bulky, and get real hot with just a little activity. The AA suit might be 1/4" thick, the jacket is almost like a nylon windbreaker! The suit is breathable and I haven't started to sweat in it yet. Our temps don't get nearly as cold as yours and I'm comfortable in it on a 50 degree day.

I bought it used, so mabye thats why, but I got wet in a steady rain. I asked them about it at the icefishg show, and they said I need to spray some stuff on it to bring back the waterproofness I guess i still like it for ice fishing though...

i bought mine new last year and love it, this year it keep me warm but it lost its water proof, my legs get really wet when sitting on the ice.

I e-mailed them and they told me that all out door suites do this and the said to spray some water proof repellent on it.

So when i bought this suit i was under the impression that the fabric actually repelled water so now if i fell in would it keep me floating

It may have lost its waterproofing but it will still float you with the dead air space they use for insulation.
