Once Woods is cut down by 2/3rds and I cant find any on the 1/3rd left of it to fish. Also, what I like to do in Guntersville, is drop shot the old river channel at the bluffs. All kinds of fish stack up down there and it is like Forest says about the chocolate, you dont ever know what ya gonna get. When I start there, also depends on the weather. The colder it gets in our winter, the more likely I will be at guntersville. There is not a tremendous amount of real deep water in the area I fish, and the fish seem to stack up real good on the deeper river channel ledges then. Have had days there catching and releasing well over 50 a day easy.Guntersville is increasing, quickly becoming a crappie paradise. The grass down there is really producing great cover and shade and hiding spots for the fish all summer.I believe Guntersville will be a place known for some awsome crappie fishing in the future.Lots of local crappie fishermen already know it.
