Thread: October 31st Open Tournament at Woods

Just wondering who is planning on fishing the "Open" tournament at Woods on Saturday the 31st. My father-in-law from WI will be fishing with me and am looking forward to it very much. I hope we have a great turnout. Also, hope we can get some new people who aren't members to fish in the event and show them what a great club we have.

I might actually get to fish this one.Seems everything is lining up for an easy week. I am gonna start talking it up at work tomorrow.

I Plan On Being There, Good Lord Willing And Creek Don't Rise.

I will be there with my Dad. Brian is looking for a partner he said. I saw Steve practicing there yesterday and he was wearing them out. I GPSed his spot so that I will know where to go on the 31st. I tried it shallow on a hunch and did no good at all. I got to fish only an hour and half before I had to go to the airport. The spots I had in mind were directly in the wind and boat control was next to impossible.

I will be there.Ole BigOrangeSlab and I plan to be fishing it.

I won't be there. The wife and I are going to Gatlinburg for the weekend to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary.

I'm fishin with my old fishin buddy Larry from Iowa. He's gettin here Fri. night and stayin for 5 or 6 days of fishin. I think there are enough devoted crappie fishermen around to have a good tx dispite the weather. I went out for about 3 hrs today in the rain and the fish are bitin at anything you threw at them! Water temp was 61 and they have moved a little deeper. I heard that we may have a pro crappie guide fishin with us. Anyone ever heard of Clyde the Guide??
