    Default Looking for help

Can anyone hook me up with a place to fish around Cookeville Tn? My daughter moved there after she got out of college and I need somewhere to fish when I visit her. I live in Covington Tn. which is pretty much on the Mississippi River. I know nothing about that area. I believe there should be some good trolling on some the lakes up there. Any help would be great. It is always good to start out with some idea of what you are doing. Thanks for all of your help.

    Default Cookeville area fishing

Hey Bo. You may want to try asking this question on the main Tennessee forum as well. You may have more people see the Tn forum that live closer to the Cookeville area lakes. Good luck bud.

Cookeville isn't far from Dale Hollow if you want Smallies. The Crappie population is good there also. Center Hill is in Smithville kinda south of Cookeville, also good but has a reputation of being a bit tougher to fish. I've never fished either but this is what I'm told when I ask about them. Good luck, tight lines.

Take your pick. Dale Hollow or Center Hill. I think Evan Bowers guides on those lakes and posts on the forum on the main page. Large crappie in Dale Hollow and a few brown fish as well.

Center Hill is quite a bit closer to Cookeville. Both are beautiful highland lakes that can be tough to fish. I've caught some nice bream and cats in Center Hill and had some good smallie action on both lakes. Don't think I've ever fished for crappie in either lake.
