Thread: Watts Bar

I realize that it is a very long ways for most of you guys. I also realize that it isn't a familiar lake, but, all I can guarantee is I will show you some spots like I did Steve back in May. I am not promising a thing, but if you want to try dock shooting, this is the place. Keep in mind this is the Tennessee River, but hopefully Steve will attest to the fact that that I know the river(without rain and fog and sweeping rain and hail and all that stuff) I will supply whatever GPS points I have to give. I just want all of us to come together and fish together as a club. Ya'll keep this in mind because the place I usually stay at closes at the end of October. FATBOY

I think I mentioned befor that Watts is the most senic lake I have ever fished. I really enjoy "shooting dock" and there are plenty of crappieish lookin dock on it. It would be great if a few of us could make a trip over there for a day or three next month. Fatboy showed me around the lake last spring and I got some good spots saved on the gps but next time I go I think I'll try most every dock I come accross. Fatboy, was the name of that resort "Arrowhead"? I'm sure Terri would enjoy the senery and it would be a good place for her to learn to shoot.

I have been thinking about a trip there for awhile. Will have to do it soon because us working people only have a couple of weekends available before we have 2 tourneys in OCT. I am sure that I can get my Dad to join us as it is only 1 hour from his house. I will just have to make sure that I have the right ammunition for shootin' them docks. Do you have to take you boat out at night there or do they have overnight docking facilities? Water should be running there with all the rain but I do not think that clarity is an issue on that lake.

I'm not sure about the overnight thing. Fatboy has stayed there a few times so I'm sure he will know.
How does the week-end of the 24th sound?? Of course we'll have to keep and eye on the forcast, wouldn't want to spend the week-end in rain gear!
